Heated Debates is a live debate platform for adults (18+). We are committed to zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page outlines our standards, enforcement mechanisms, and contact information for child safety concerns.
Zero Tolerance Policy
- ›Heated Debates strictly prohibits any content, behavior, or activity involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors (CSAE).
- ›Any user found creating, sharing, or promoting CSAE content will be permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local law enforcement.
- ›We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations involving child safety.
Age Restrictions
- ›Heated Debates is intended exclusively for users aged 18 and older.
- ›Users must confirm they are 18+ during account registration.
- ›Accounts found to belong to minors are immediately suspended and deleted.
Content Moderation
- ›All live debates and chat messages are subject to automated and human moderation.
- ›AI-assisted detection tools flag potentially harmful content in real time for review.
- ›Moderators are empowered to immediately remove content, mute users, or ban accounts.
- ›Users who violate our child safety standards face permanent account termination.
In-App Reporting
- ›All users can report child safety concerns directly within the app using the in-app report mechanism available on every room and user profile.
- ›Reports related to CSAE are treated as the highest priority and reviewed within 24 hours.
- ›Reporters are kept anonymous to protect them from retaliation.
Compliance with Laws
- ›Heated Debates complies with all applicable child safety laws, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and relevant international regulations.
- ›We maintain records required by applicable law and cooperate with legal processes related to child safety.
- ›We report known CSAE content to NCMEC via CyberTipline as required by US federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
